So Mom calls me on the way to class to tell me she might need surgery and now I’ve got to fucking sit here for two hours and pay attention try to not have a meltdown and all I want to do is go home but I still have a week and a half and shit ton of homework between then and my mind is such a scary place to be right now and I don’t know what to do

I know how hard it is to concentrate when a loved one is going through rough times. Just take solace in the fact that she only /might/ need solace.
I doubt she’d want you to suffer because of her just wanting to inform you. <3
